Besides, as mentioned above that the default camera resolution on the Galaxy M40 is set at 12MP. But, with the GCam app, you can take full-resolution i.e. 32MP images. Recommended Settings

You can use the GCam application directly by installing and opening it. But, we would advise you to change the settings as mentioned below for a more smooth and no-issue performance from the GCam application;

  • Open the Camera Settings>> BSG MOD Settings>> Fix>> Image Format>> Select YUV_420_888
  • Make sure to select the front camera as Pixel 3 XL. You can do this by heading to Camera settings>> BSG MOD Settings>> Input Model>> Front Camera>> Pixel 3 XL

Steps to Install the GCam App on Samsung Galaxy M40

Note: Please make sure to uninstall the previous version of the Google camera mod if you have already installed on your device. This is done in order to avoid the installation error.

  1. Download the GCam v6.1 for the Samsung Galaxy M40 from the download section.
  2. Once downloaded, tap on the Install button to begin the installation.
  3. Open the application and grant all the permission asked by the app.

The resolution of the display is 2340×1080 with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and 409 PPI. The Galaxy M40 runs on the latest Android 9.0 Pie and over the top has Samsung’s very own OneUI.

Moreover, the device also has the support of Widevine L1 which allows the user to stream online videos via video streaming services at full resolution. It also has the Dolby Atmos 360-degree for surround sound.
