Vivo has shipped more smartphones than Samsung in Q1 of 2020 and reached to the top 2 positions. A new Vivo smartphone is in works, and the specifications for the same is out now. The famous Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed the specifications through a Weibo post. It is the first device in this new “G” series and will be naming as Vivo G1. However, this is the rebranded version of the Vivo S6 for the Chinese market.
Back in March, the Vivo G1 was listed on TEENA, revealing the basic specs. According to the Weibo post, the device features a 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with an old school waterdrop notch. Underneath, it will sport the same Exynos 980 SoC that pairs with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Of course, this is a 5G smartphone, and the launch in markets like India is a mystery.
It will have a quad-camera setup, which includes a 48MP primary sensor, that pairs with an 8MP ultra wide-angle sensor, and two 2MP sensors. To the front, it sports a 32MP sensor. The device will pack a 4,390mAh battery that comes with support for 18W. The tipster suggests that the pricing would start at 3,000 Yuan. He also adds that it will launch in the upcoming month.
