Earlier, Moto is known for its great software support and almost near to stock Android experience. But now, the speed of pushing Android updates for its budget devices has been reduced. Instead, they are now focusing on the mid-range device and its flagships. Recently, they had rolled out the Android 10 for Moto G7 Power in India. Finally, the update is released for the Verizon units of the Moto G7 Play and the G7 Power.
The update is too late for reaching the Verizon unit. Since the update been released earlier in several regions. It’d been eight months since the Verizon G7 Plus received the update. While the other units of both the Moto G7 Power and Play have received the update starting since May. The update for the G7 Play comes with the version number QPY30.85-18 (System 6), and with QCO30.85-18 (System 8) for the G7 Power.
The update comes with the regular Android 10 features, as well as some additions by the brand. It also receives a newer security patch. Other features include system-wide dark-mode, new animations, new navigation gestures, and other things. The update is rolling out as OTA and will take some time to reach your unit.
