Redmi launched its first-ever gaming laptop on 14 August 2020, it has a stylish design and boasts of impressive specifications. The Redmi G Gaming laptop is currently available only in China and there’s no word about the global launch.
Redmi gaming notebook has a big display of 16.1-inch with super-thin bezels and has a resolution of 1,920×1,080 pixels. It also has a higher refresh rate of 144Hz, this display is perfect for gaming as it is very smoother and faster than other laptops because of its 144hz refresh rate. Though the lower end variant just comes with a regular 60Hz display.
The Redmi G Gaming notebook comes with Windows 10 Home. It has a 10th-generation Intel Core i7-10750H CPU with six cores and 12 threads processor and graphics are handled by Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Ti GPU, this processor is one of the best in the market right now as it is very fast and can perform many tasks and play games that are played on high-end PCs. The lower variants of Redmi G comes with Intel Core i5-10200H & i5-10300H.
It comes with 16GB of RAM which is great for a laptop and is enough to do all the tasks and play games smoothly without any problem. The Redmi gaming notebook packs 512GB of SSD storage which transfers data at a very high speed. It has a USB 2.0 port, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, a mini DisplayPort 1.4 port, a full-size HDMI 2.0 port, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Redmi compromised with the battery life to reduce the cost of the laptop. It comes with just a 55Wh battery! With this power-hungry hardware, even Redmi does not promise anything beyond 5.5 hours of light browsing and work. Though this is the case with all the gaming laptops, no exception here.
It is an impressive gaming laptop at a very low price compared to other gaming laptops in this segment. It is a great laptop for both gaming and daily use. The Redmi G is priced at CYN 5,299 for the lowest variant which translated to around 58,000 INR. if launched in India, this can give a serious competition to the likes of Acer Predator and Asus Gaming series.
