Realme has released a couple of smartphones in the X50 series. The latest launch was of Realme X50 Pro Player Edition which was a regarded version of X50 Pro. The device came with downgraded cameras and was available for an attractive price. The device came with realme UI on top of Android 10. While the brand is still rolling out its realme UI for many of its older devices. Interestingly, the brand has released the Kernel source code of the X50 Pro Player Edition.
Since the Kernel source code is out, now you can expect TWRP, Custom ROMs like LineageOS, custom kernels etc. for the phone. Considering a normal user, the source code doesn’t make any sense. The source code is for developers who will build custom ROMs. The developers will develop their own Custom ROM for the device. Since Android is open-source, anyone can build their own ROMs. However, you should follow the General Public Licence because Android is based on Linux Kernel. They say that anyone can modify Android.
For those who are interested to view the Kernel source code, you can view it in GitHub. In connection with this, Realme has recently rolled out the Android 11 Beta for the Realme X50 Pro Player Edition.
