It has been more than two years since Realme has entered the Indian market with its Realme 1. From a sub-brand to an independent brand, now they have a lot of products, including smartphones, earphones, smart band, TWS earphones, power banks, and they are in works of some products. Earlier, the brand has a set launch event in MWC 2020 for the brand’s first smart TV. However, the event got cancelled due to the on-going COVID 19 outbreak.
The brand has announced the launch date of realme TV, i.e. on May 25 along with the launch of its watch. The brand is already hosting an event in China for unveiling eight products. A few reports suggest that the upcoming realme TV is a rebranded Sansui TV as the listing on BIS suggests that the realme TV or at least the 43-inch one may be a rebranded one. The model number on the listing of realme TV corresponds to last year’s Sansui TV’s model number. Please do note that this is just our thoughts, and it might or may not be a rebranded one.

According to the tweet, it seems that the launch may be a global one. Many other smartphone vendors are now in TV industry too. Recently OnePlus launched its TV in India via Amazon. Motorola and Nokia unveiled its products in partnership with Flipkart. Madhav said that realme TV is customised for Indian consumers. The launch in India is confirmed on the same date since Realme India care has come with a reply. Earlier, in the original tweet, they didn’t explicitly mention the market in which they are launching.
