One UI 3.0 (Android 11) pre-phase beta released!

Earlier, we reported that Samsung will soon release the One UI 3.0 for the Galaxy S20 series. After the Android 11 release, Samsung has finally started rolling out the One UI 3.0 beta program. As of now, the testing is only available for the users of China, Germany, India, Poland, the Republic of Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Samsung has started another program, and calls this as Pre-Beta phase for developers and also confirms that this will be the last beta before the open-beta for regular users. The main idea behind this program is to ensure that all apps are working in the new Android 11 based One UI 3.0. Those who are developers, and wish to contribute can apply from the here. Currently, the Pre-Beta phase for developers is available for the people of Republic of Korea and the United States ONLY. Here is the list of eligible devices.

  • Republic of Korea – KT / LGU+ / SKT / Unlocked (Galaxy S20 (SM-G981N), S20+ (SM-G986N), S20 Ultra (SM-G988N)
  • United States  – Sprint / T-Mobile – Galaxy S20 (SM-G981U), S20+ (SM-G986U), S20 Ultra (SM-G988U)
  • United States – Unlocked – Galaxy S20 (SM-G981U1), S20+ (SM-G986U1), S20 Ultra (SM-G988U1)

Old Story

Samsung has undergone a major change in UI starting from the One UI. Most of the users gave positive feedback about the same. After that, the brand introduced the next-gen versions of the same i.e. One UI 2.0 and 2.1. There are reports that the brand will introduce One UI 2.5 soon. There are reports that the One UI 2.5 will be the final update for the S9 & Note 9 series. Soon after the launch of the Galaxy Note 20 series, they have announced something big. That said, the brand is in the works of the upcoming One UI 3.0.

They have even announced the beta programme of the same for the Galaxy S20 series. I’m sure that you guys have read about that since we have already published the same. What’s more interesting is that Samsung will now push three major Android updates for its flagship devices. However, it is applicable only from the S10 series. With this, Samsung joins the club of OnePlus and Google which provides the same to its devices.

With this article, we will include the details of the upcoming One UI 3.0. However, all the devices which we will mention below will not be updated to Android 11. Most of the A & S series will be updated to the new UI on top of Android 11. The stable One UI update is expected to arrive in October 2020 with Android 11. Currently, the developer version is available in countries like South Korea and the US. Soon, it will be rolling to countries like India, UK, China, Germany, and Poland.
