Most of you guys may know about the OnePlus Nord which was unveiled a week ago. In fact, it was the most hyped smartphone launched in 2020. The smartphone has great specifications on paper but has some negatives too. It is the mid-range smartphone and comes with the Snapdragon 765G which is a 5G capable SoC. It is the second device in India with the Snapdragon 765G. The Nord is considered to be the best mid-range smartphone launched in 2020.
Other specs include a 90Hz AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution. A 48MP quad-cameras with OIS, dual-front cameras, and with support for 30W wrap charging. The device runs on Oxygen OS 10 on top of Android 10 which will receive two major updates and three years of security updates. It has a glass back which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 which looks gorgeous. As most of you know, OnePlus went with a plastic frame in order to cut the costs and to price the device under the 30K segment.
Most of the budget smartphones out there use these types of plastic frames. In real life, no one can understand whether they are holding an aluminum or plastic frame. Zach Nelson aka JerryRigEverything has conducted his durability test on this device. In his test, the frame near the volume rockers of the OnePlus Nord breaks. Although, there are no cracks on the rear panel. The display will damage if the phone undergoes any accidental bends. So make sure to use any cases for protecting your device.
If you remember OnePlus 7T has also had a similar issue near the round camera module. So as we said, please apply a case in your device to protect it. OnePlus also includes a TPU case in the box.
