HMD Global owned Nokia is one of the top companies that provide new OS updates for their devices. The company promised to release three major OS updates for phones before their end of life. Now the company starts rolling out Android 10 Go Edition update for the entry-level Nokia 1 smartphone, launched 2018.
The new OS update for the Nokia 1 comes with a V3.090 build number and it weighs around 860MB. The new update for the Nokia 1 comes with new features including Dark Mode, gesture navigation, smart replies, and more. It also brings Google June 2020 security patch along with the Android 10 Go edition.
Currently, the company pushing the update in Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam. Nokia rolling out updates in three batches in these countries. 10 percent of the users already received the update on July 7th, 50 percent of users will get the update by July 10th and 100 percent of users by 12 July.
Nokia 1 was the first smartphone that runs on the Android Go edition operating system. It comes with a 4.5-inch display panel with 480 X 854 pixels of resolution. The phone powered by MediaTek MT6737M processor under the hood. It has 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB internal storage options. The phone features dual SIM, 5-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel selfie camera, FM radio, Audio jack port, and micro USB port. It packed with 2150 mAh battery capacity.
