How to Install LineageOS 18.1 on Poco F1 ?

Following are the two sub-sections of this Poco F1 LineageOS 18.1 update guide:

  1. First time installation of LineageOS 18.1 for Poco F1
  2. Upgrading LineageOS 18.1 for Poco F1 from a previous build of LineageOS 18.1 ROM

First time Installation of LineageOS 18.1 on Poco F1

This ROM update process requires few guides to be followed and few files to be downloaded. Everything referred in the below guide is provided in the above downloads section.
    1. Download and Copy the LineageOS 18.1 ROM for Poco F1 and a compatible GApps to your phone.
    2. Boot into the TWRP custom Recovery to install this Poco F1 LineageOS 18.1 ROM. Make sure to use the TWRP provided in above downloads section or any system-as-root configured TWRP for Poco F1
      – By now your phone must have an unlocked bootloader to proceed with other steps. If not, unlock the bootloader first and proceed ahead.
    3. Wipe the data partition, Cache partition, vendor partition and system partition.
      – Here is a guide explaining how to wipe using TWRP recovery.
      This will delete everything on your phone! You may consider taking a complete backup of your phone data or take a backup of all relevant partitions. Below are few links that may help you in backing up:- How to backup Android data

If you are running on the MIUI ROM then you need to wipe everything including internal storage too.
  1. Install the Poco F1 LineageOS 18.1 ROM file using TWRP recovery or any custom recovery of your choice
    (OR)
    Use ADB Sideload to install the ROM.
    You can use any one of the above-mentioned method to install the ROM zip file on the phone.
  2. Reboot into the TWRP recovery again.
  3. Then install the Android 11 GApps package [You can install GApps only if you wiped everything before flashing LineageOS 18.1 Build].

  4. Reboot and Enjoy the Android 11 based LineageOS 18.1 for Poco F1 .
Complete the initial setup and enjoy Android 11 with LineageOS 18.1 on Poco F1 .

Upgrading LineageOS 18.1 on Poco F1 (beryllium):

  1. Copy the latest ROM zip file of LineageOS 18.1 for Poco F1 , Magisk ROOT package to the phone
  2. Boot into Recovery to flash the updated ROM for Poco F1
  3. Wipe the system partition from the TWRP recovery menu.
  4. Install the Poco F1 LineageOS 18.1 update, either using TWRP recovery or ADB Sideload.
  5. Reboot and see if you have the GApps and ROOT access or NOT.
    – Most Gapps are built in such a way that it will sustain across ROM updates.
  6. If you don’t have GApps after upgrading the LineageOS 18.1 on Poco F1 , then download Android 11 GApps and then flash it.

  7. If you don’t have ROOT after upgrading the LineageOS 18.1 on Poco F1 , then flash the Magisk rooting package or follow this Android 11 root guide.
  8. Once everything is done, reboot and Enjoy the LineageOS 18.1 on Poco F1 .

How to Install Download LineageOS 18.1 for Poco F1 APK?

Make sure that there should not be any prior version of Download LineageOS 18.1 for Poco F1 apk already installed on your phone. If so, uninstall that before installing this one.

  1. First of all, download the Download LineageOS 18.1 for Poco F1 APK from the above download link
  2. Install the Split APK installer app and then install the downloaded mod APK using that. (or) follow the below instructions
