A couple of days ago, Huawei’s upcoming tablet spotted on the online retailer. Now the company officially announced the Huawei MatePad 10.8 along with MateBook D 15 2020 Ryzen Edition, TalkBand B6, Huawei Kids Watch 4X. The main highlights of the tablet are the flagship processor, bigger battery, M-Pencil stylus support, and also 2K resolution supporting display.
Huawei’s MatePad 10.8 tablet comes with a 10.8-inch IPS LCD display with 2,560 x 1,600 pixels resolution and supports 280 PPI density. The tablet supports M-Pencil stylus and users can also attach a keyboard, there are dedicated pogo-pin slots on its edges.
The MatePad 10.8 runs on the Android 10 operating system out of the box along with EMUI 10.1 UI running on top. The 10.8 tablet powered by flagship Kirin 990 processor under the hood. There are three storage variants of the tablet, 64 GB, 128 GB, and 256 GB. All the storage variants have 6 GB of RAM. It also comes with a micro SD card slot onboard.
On the backside, there is a 13-megapixel camera with f/1.8 aperture and autofocus along with LED flash. On the front side, there is an 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 aperture for selfies. It packed with 7500 mAh capacity battery inside the body along with a 22.5W fast charging feature.
Huawei MatePad 10.8 featured with quad speakers on edges and each tuned by Harman Kardon. In terms of connectivity, there is a 3.5 mm audio jack port, LTS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and USB-C. The Tablet also featured with a fingerprint scanner. The body dimensions of the device are 257 x 170 x 7.2mm and weighs around 500 grams.
The company launched the Huawei MatePad four variants in China, and three of them are Wi-Fi only and the fourth one with LTE connectivity. The MatePad 10.8 tablet Wi-Fi only with 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage available at 2,399 Yuan (~$342) price tag, 128 GB storage Wi-Fi only model available at 2,799 Yuan (~$399) price tag. The 256 Gb storage Wi-Fi only tablet available at 3,599 Yuan (~$513) and last 6 GB RAM with 128 GB storage LTE model available at 3,199 Yuan (~$456) price tag.
In China, the Huawei MatePad 10.8 tablet available for pre-order. It will go on sale from August 13th. However, there is no information about the global launch of the tablet.
