Here is a simple guide on how to root the Motorola DROID XYBOARD 10.1 and 8.2.
As well as the Motorola XOOM2/Media Edition. On Windows, Linux or Mac OSX.

How to Root Android

Downloads:

XYZ_Windows.zip or XYZ_Linux_OSX.zip
Motorola USB Drivers (Windows Only)

Motorola DROID XYBOARD 10.1 and 8.2 / XOOM 2 and Media Edition Root Instructions:

  • Connect your device to your computer via USB, enable USB Debugging.
  • Install the Motorola USB Drivers. (Windows Only)
  • Unzip the XYZ root package.
  • Execute “run.bat” or “run.sh” from a terminal (on Linux/OSX)

You can now install Google Camera APK, flash ClockworkMod, TWRP, other kernels and roms like LineageOS etc.
