Google launched its new smartphone, the Pixel 5 on 30th September 2020. It comes with a new and faster 5G processor and many more upgrades. Let’s dive in.

Display

The phone comes with a 6.00-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels, the display is not too big but feels really comfortable in your hand. The display comes with a higher 90hz refresh rate which will give a great gaming experience. The display on the Pixel 5 has great brightness, color, and contrast. It looks fantastic, even if it is only FHD+. Pixel 5 has one of the best displays this year thanks to that symmetric bezel all around.

Camera

As far as the cameras are concerned, the Google Pixel 5 on the rear packs a 12.2 MP primary camera and a second 16MP camera. The rear camera setup has phase detection autofocus. It sports an 8MP camera on the front for selfies. The camera clicks good pictures and the details in the picture can be seen clearly and Pixel series phones provide a great camera experience.

Performance

Google Pixel 5 is based on Android 11 which is the latest operating system in the market and will surely be great. It has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor you will find in the Pixel 4a 5G, which gives it 5G connectivity and faster overall speeds compared to the Snapdragon 730G in the Pixel 4a. Pixel 5 has 8Gb of ram and 128GB of internal storage and this is the only variant available right now.

Battery

It has a battery of 4,080mAh which is enough for a day’s work and gaming too. Pixel phones last longer than usual android phones despite having less battery capacity, it comes with an 18W fast charger which could have been more because nowadays budget phones like Nord also have 30W fast charging.

Conclusion

Pixel 5 is a great flagship phone at a lower price and gives a premium feel too. It has a great processor and the new android 11, the Google Pixel 5 is one of the most affordable flagships Google has released since the Pixel series was born. It is expected to be  priced at Rs 51,000.
