    HOW TO DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL Galaxy J5 LineageOS 17 Android 10 CUSTOM ROM?

    1. First time installation of LineageOS 17 for Galaxy J5

    Download and Install LineageOS 17 for Galaxy J5 for the first time:

    1. Download and Copy the LineageOS 17 ROM for Galaxy J5 and the GApps for LineageOS 17 to your phone.
    2. Boot into the TWRP custom Recovery to install this Galaxy J5 LineageOS 17 ROM.

    3. Wipe the data partition, Cache partition, and system partition.

    4. Install the Galaxy J5 LineageOS 17 ROM file that you have copied into the phone.

    5. Reboot into the TWRP recovery again.
    6. Then install the LineageOS 17 GApps package.

    7. Reboot and Enjoy the Android 10 based LineageOS 17 for Galaxy J5.

    Upgrading from earlier version of LineageOS 17 for Galaxy J5 (j5nlte):

    1. Copy the latest ROM zip file of LineageOS 17 for Galaxy J5, LineageOS 17 GApps and/or Magisk ROOT package to the phone
    2. Boot into Recovery to flash the updated LineageOS 17 for Galaxy J5
    3. Wipe the system partition from the TWRP recovery menu.
    4. Install the Galaxy J5 LineageOS 17 update.

    5. Reboot and see you have the GApps and ROOT access or NOT.

    6. If you don’t have GApps after upgrading the LineageOS 17 on Galaxy J5, then flash the GApps.

    GCam 7.2 and GCam 7.0 are compatible with LineageOS 17 or any Android 10 ROM in general.

    The ROM download link is not working anymore.

    I would also like to know – since I already unsuccessfully tried to install LinageOS16 over here (https://cyanogenmods.org/forums/topic/download-lineageos-16-for-galaxy-j5/page/2/#post-101153) – if you recommend to try to install this version instead (espacially if it is still new and has bugs)?
