Blackview is one of the manufacturers which produces rugged smartphones in the market. Unlike some other brands, its rugged devices aren’t that expensive. It also comes with various certifications for the protection. A few months before, the brand unveiled its Blackview BV9900 Pro. However, on the software front, the device came with Android 9 Pie out of the box.
We didn’t think that the brand will be updating the device into Android 10 soon after the launch. It seems that the Android 10 for the Blackview BV9900 Pro will be rolled out in August 2020. FOr the existing users, they can contact the customer support for the update. There is no clarity about the OTA’s i.e. whether they will push the update through OTA or not.
According to the brand, the new update comes with massive changes over the current Android 9 Pie. The new changes include fresh UI, improvements in camera performance, new navigation gestures, system-wide dark mode, digital well-being, and all other native Android 10 features. The new update has also included video stabilization, fixed focusing issues, and thereby taking the camera into a different level.
Apart from software, the machine is quite powerful. That said it has various certifications like IP68, IP69K & MIL-STD-810G certification. Underneath, its the MediaTek’s flagship P90 which powers the device. The device can withstand extreme weather conditions like -30 degrees. It has also various sensors which help to overcome these type of situations.
