    Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus / K5 LineageOS 14.1 Nougat 7.1 Custom ROM

    REQUIRED LINKS AND FILES FOR Vibe K5 Plus / K5 LineageOS 14.1 NOUGAT CUSTOM ROM:

    Root binary is inbuilt in LineageOS 14.1, so you don’t need a separate SuperSu package to install to gain ROOT access. Here is How to Enable ROOT on LineageOS 14.1
    If there is no in-built ROOT or it does not work for some reason then you can try flashing SuperSU zip using recovery to gain ROOT access.

    HOW TO INSTALL/DOWNLOAD/FLASH/UPDATE LineageOS 14.1 FOR Vibe K5 Plus / K5 NOUGAT CUSTOM ROM:

    1. Follow this if you are flashing LineageOS 14.1 for Vibe K5 Plus / K5 (A6020) for the first time, or coming from another ROM:

      Points to NOTE:
      – Try to avoid restoring apps backup using Titanium Backup. It may break things up.
      – Don’t restore system data using Titanium Backup! It will definitely break the current installation.
      – It is also discouraged to Restoring Apps + Data using Titanium Backup.

    2. Upgrading from earlier version of LineageOS 14.1 for Vibe K5 Plus / K5 (A6020):

    Complete the initial setup and enjoy Android Nougat 7.1 with LineageOS 14.1 for Vibe K5 Plus / K5 (A6020). After the installation of LineageOS 14.1 for Vibe K5 Plus / K5 (A6020) you may want to enable ROOT access on your phone and here is how you can do that:

    Thanks, well, i have installed the 20170109 compilation and is working very good everything is working well except for:

    it have the FM radio app but isn´t working
    problem with the file explorer and the sd card (installing other FX works)

    Hi, thanks very much for the rom, I try out the version lineage-14.1-20170121-UNOFFICIAL-A6020 on my K5 A6020l37 and it works very well, only a few bugs I have found, such at the sound when the device starts that it leaves when reproducing a sound, the notification sound that sounds a little bit bad, like if they have some kind of rare noise on the beginin of it, also the notification LED don’t turn on when you recib a notification and finally the galery that doesn’t allow you to edit an image, othen than that, it’s a nice rom!

    Hello, i followed all the steps, but the phone refuses to boot now.
    Normally (factory state), when you press the vol+/power to go to recovery menu, some kind of Lenovo menu appears. There are several buttons (MMItest,PCBA test, HW info,…) and one of them is “recovery”.
    After i flashed the TWRP thru adb, everything was fine, Lenovo menu appeared, after pressing the recovery button it went to TWRP.

    Then i made the factory reset, flashed the Lineagerom zip and gapps zip.
    After the reboot, phone shows Lenovo logo, than goes black screen (or maybe power off).
    If i press vol+/power to go to recovery menu, nothing happens.
    What am i doing wrong?

    I was able to boot into recovery again thru adb and restore the original rom from backup and tried all the steps again but the result is still the same.

    I confirm the problems were caused by older version of TWRP. I flashed 3.1 version and latest build of Lineage and it boots OK after restart. Just the Lenovo boot menu is not accesible, when you press vol+/power, nothing happens. To get to recovery menu you have to press vol+/vol-/power.

    Recently I have found the OFFICIAL Lineage OS 14.1 for the Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus / K5. The download link to the official Lineage OS 14.1 has been updated.

    Tengo el Lenovo K5 Edición Especial de México (K5 Plus), instalé la ROM pero tiene algunos problemas, por ejemplo con MyMail no suena bien la notificación. Cuando conecto los audifinos que vienen con el celular empieza a subirse de volumen solo y la linterna no funciona, si puedo tomar fotos con flash pero prender el flash como linterna no funciona.
