    Android Nougat 7.1 ROM, Huawei Honor 4/4x Lineage OS 14.1 has now arrived via an UNOFFICIAL build.     DISCLAIMER:
    THIS IS AN INITIAL BUILD WHICH MAY NOT BOOT AT ALL. HAVE A BACKUP BEFORE FLASHING THIS AND TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK. Installing a custom ROM on a Honor 4/4x (cherry) requires the bootloader to be unlocked on the Honor 4/4x (cherry) phone, which may VOID your warranty and may delete all your data. Before proceeding further you may consider backup all data on the phone. You are the only person doing changes to your phone and I cannot be held responsible for the mistakes done by you.

    Honor 4/4x Lineage OS 14.1 Nougat 7.1 Custom ROM

    REQUIRED LINKS AND FILES FOR Honor 4/4x LINEAGE OS 14.1 NOUGAT CUSTOM ROM:

    Root binary is inbuilt in Lineage OS 14.1, so you don’t need a separate SuperSu package to install to gain ROOT access. Here is How to Enable ROOT on Lineage OS 14.1
    If there is no in-built ROOT or it does not work for some reason then you can try flashing SuperSU zip using recovery to gain ROOT access.

    HOW TO INSTALL/DOWNLOAD/FLASH/UPDATE Lineage OS 14.1 FOR Honor 4/4x NOUGAT CUSTOM ROM:

    1. Follow this if you are flashing Lineage OS 14.1 for Honor 4/4x (cherry) for the first time, or coming from another ROM:

      Points to NOTE:
      – Try to avoid restoring apps backup using Titanium Backup. It may break things up.
      – Don’t restore system data using Titanium Backup! It will definitely break the current installation.
      – It is also discouraged to Restoring Apps + Data using Titanium Backup.

    2. Upgrading from earlier version of Lineage OS 14.1 for Honor 4/4x (cherry):

    Complete the initial setup and enjoy Android Nougat 7.1 with Lineage OS 14.1 for Honor 4/4x (cherry). After the installation of Lineage OS 14.1 for Honor 4/4x (cherry) you may want to enable ROOT access on your phone and here is how you can do that:

    Hi,
    I tried to flash my Honor 4x(che1-L04) with lineage-14.1-20170130-nightly-cherry-signed

    Installation is fine, but I found a issue, Mobile data is not working. I tried to connect using Mobile data with both SIM(4G and 2G) but no internet connection.

    Please assist

    As the Honor 4x Lineage 14.1 is a NIGHTLY build, it is possible that there might be some native BUG. I mean to say the ROM may have this BUG and might be addressed in subsequent builds.

    Found the temporary solution,
    >> Just open and re-save/save the APN
    >> You have to do this everytime you start or restart your phone

    Thanks for the workaround shady007. IMO it is better to live with this workaround for now till we get a fix. If re-saving the APN works then I feel there might be some file permission issue for apn.conf file (this is what I think).

    You can find the APN conf file here:
    /system/etc/apns-conf.xml

    For me it shows the file properties as follows:
    -rw-r–r– root root 348995 2015-09-09 02:21 apns-conf.xml
